Elizabeth Ehasz, BA in Education

Dyslexia Therapist

Elizabeth Ehasz has been teaching reading to students of varied backgrounds for over 10 years. She’s worked in both public and private settings, and is a strong believer in solid phonics basics. When she was in 3rd grade, she realized her sister in 1st grade was fast becoming a better reader than she… and while more than a little miffed, she also wondered, Why? One day, when the door between their classrooms was left open, she witnessed the 1st grade’s reading and spelling lesson where letters and their sounds were being taught explicitly, and she thought, “Well, if someone had showed me this way, of course I could do it better too!” This started a life-long fascination with how learning to read works, and how it can be better taught.
